Giving Back to the Community

At JSS Communications, community involvement is essential. We believe that supporting community initiatives is not only good for business and the community, but important to personal growth. We strive to make community relations an integral part of what we do.

South Shore Chamber of Commerce:

JSS Communications is an active member of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, an organization that works to empower local business, promote leadership and support community service. The Chamber has recently embarked on a regional economic development study to develop a strategic plan to expand the region’s economy and strengthen the South Shore’s appeal as the destination to live, work, play and visit. Our President, Shannon, sits on the Steering Committee for this study.

The South Shore Chamber of Commerce Tech Connect Expo (October 2014) brought together local businesses and industry experts to teach, learn, and share how technology can advance businesses on the South Shore. We spoke with business owners about the telecom industry, their current communication status, and how we could help their business be successful.

South Shore Young Professionals:

Shannon is also active in South Shore Young Professionals (SSYP). The SSYP strives to be the leading resource for personal and professional development through community involvement, networking and education. The organization’s Grant Foundation also supports entrepreneurship and economic growth through grants designed to help businesses succeed on the South Shore. This program fosters new ideas and innovation, encouraging economic development and success. As JSS Communications strongly believes in supporting and helping young businesses and professionals thrive, it was a natural fit for our President, Shannon, to serve on the Board of Directors.

Charity Events

Fundraisers and charity events offer a entertaining way to support local charities and give back to the community. JSS Communications participates in a variety of events, happy to connect with others who value community involvement.

We participated in the South Shore Hospital’s LINKS Friends Croquet Classic to benefit pediatric programs at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, croquet, laughter and great people. Finishing second helped too!
